OMBC Series Race #12

The series finale unfolds on the 5,000-acre Mohican Memorial State Forest Trail, featuring a continuous 24-mile loop through Mohican State Park—arguably Ohio’s finest singletrack.

As the state’s only IMBA Epic-designated trail, Mohican delivers a legendary test of endurance and technical riding and serves as the home of Ohio’s largest mountain bike race: the Mohican MTB 50K, 100K, and 100-Mile.

Race Rules & Conduct

A few simple rules keep the racing fair, safe, and fun for everyone on the trails.

  1. 1

Racers may finish riding, pushing, or carrying a mechanically impaired bike, provided all laps are completed and no course shortcuts occur.

  2. 2

No bike parts, including wheel sets, may be accepted from non-registered racers along the course. Any off-course detours, such as for repairs, must rejoin at the exact point left. All parts must remain near the start/finish or parking areas. Violations may lead to disqualification.

  3. 3

Racers must ride courteously, allowing faster riders to pass when space permits.

  4. 4

Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in a DNF.

  5. 5

Falsifying registration information will result in a DNF.

  6. 6

Race or rider protests must be filed with a race official within 20 minutes of finishing.

  7. 7

Sport and Novice division winners must move to a higher class the following season.

Race Official's Decision Failure to follow these rules may result in disqualification from the race.
