The Challenge at Mountwood is the third race of the 2026 season for both WVMBA and OMBC, with points counting toward both series.

Each WVMBA Series race lets participants choose a category based on fitness, skill, and expected course time:

Course Information

Trails
Mountwood features “nice old school single track” with plenty of elevation gain. Riders will enjoy a mix of challenging climbs and flowing descents. The course layout will be mostly the same as last year, with minor adjustments at the promoter’s discretion. Updated 2026 course info will be posted here.

Directions & Parking
Mountwood Park is 12 miles east of Parkersburg, WV, on US 50.


Parking and check-in are at the Carson Station Pavilion.

Trails & Amenities
The 2,600-acre park has over 30 miles of mostly single-track trails, well-maintained and rideable in all weather.

  2. E-Bike Options: Class 1 pedal-assist e-bikes are allowed. Specific rules for E-Bike participation can be found in the same section on the website.
