Series NOTE: The OMBC Championship race at Mohican Wilderness completes the requirement of 5 regular series races plus the championship race at MW. The totals of your 5 best races plus the points you earn at MW will determine your final series points. It is not madatory to attend MW to qualify for series awards, however, if you do not complete this race, only your 5 best races will count toward your standings points total. The intention is to make the Championship race incentive based, rather than mandatory.  Racers do not need to have raced in the series in order to enter. Everyone is welcome to compete! Laughing

Racers NOTE: 4th annual Midwest MTB Regional Championship November 7 at the Iceman Cometh Challenge: All potential OMBC series finishers, division winners considered first, are eligable for a chance to compete in the Midwest Mountain Bike Championship as an OMBC representative. There are many more divisions at Iceman than the 18 of OMBC. As a result, many more can go and OMBC is seeking additional representatives to fill as many positions as possible. Complete information and registration forms are available now at www.usmtb.org

Even if you are not a division winner but would like to represent the state of Ohio and OMBC at this event, print/fill out an Iceman registration form and bring it with you to the next OMBC event or mail to: OMBC, PO Box 97, Butler, OH, 44822 before October 24. If you have already registered for Iceman and would like to represent Ohio and OMBC at the event, send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , include your name, age, city, sponsor, OMBC division, and Iceman Division so that you can be considered for the OMBC roster. OMBC division winners and leaders, by order of series finish, are considered first choices. Representatives will be chosen at the OMBC Championship Race on October 25 at Mohican Wilderness.

BREW NEWS: OMBC is goin' Green so don't forget to bring your favorite Mug! We have exercised the demons with the help of a large English Tap for the Keg of Bass Pale Ale that teased you at the Mohican Forest Race. I have tasted the fruit thereof and, Lo and Behold, IT IS GOOD! Ryan O'Dell, Race Director

Current Course Conditions: Saturday, October 24, The rains ended on Friday and our trail team is gearing up to blow leaves and any remnants of moisture from the trails using a monster blower (no joke) this afternoon. All that will remain is dry, tasty singletrack capable of producing the fastest times ever!

The course: The Wilderness has some of the toughest climbing in Ohio and a few crazy descents as well.  Poached from Spoke Junkies : Features the longest climb in Ohio. On the downhill you will experience some radically cool rock gardens, some killer switchbacks, and a technical, loose, rocky, section that’ll make you wish for a bigger insurance policy. This downhill lasts for a couple of miles and is a blast! Technical bits, rollercoaster style singletrack, long grueling climbs, and bombastic downhills. Highlights include a semi-technical downhill with some light rock gardens and a short, steep climb on an old logging road. The end finishes off with a fun, fast rollercoaster style trail.

Times are: Registration opens at 11:00 am Race Start Time: 1:00pm

Classes: All OMBC race divisions .

Fees: $30, card carrying OMBA members $25, Novice JH and HS just $10
